Manuscript Pre.
Overview
When preparing a manuscript for submission to the Journal of Engineering Mechanics and Infrastructure, authors should ensure that all required components are complete and properly organised. Submit the Title Page as a separate file to support a blinded peer-review process. It should include the full title of the manuscript, names and affiliations of all authors, complete contact details of the corresponding author, and the total number of figures, tables, and other supplementary materials. A Cover Letter should also be submitted separately, briefly introducing the study, highlighting its significance, and confirming that the manuscript follows the journal's guidelines. The main manuscript should include an Abstract, Keywords, and appropriately structured main text according to the article type. For research articles, the manuscript generally includes Introduction, Materials and Methods or Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Declarations, and References. The Methods section should provide sufficient technical detail to allow the work to be understood and, where applicable, reproduced. Results should be presented clearly using appropriate tables, figures, equations, and technical data. The Discussion should explain the significance of the findings, compare them with previous research, and identify limitations and practical implications.
A Declarations section should be included after the Conclusion and before the References, where applicable. It may include Ethical Approval, Author Contributions, Conflict of Interest, Funding, Acknowledgements, and Data Availability. Tables, figures, graphs, diagrams, and charts should be placed on separate pages after the References and numbered in the order in which they are first cited. All figures and technical illustrations should be of sufficient quality for publication.
Formatting SpecificationÂ
To ensure consistency and facilitate the peer review and production process, all manuscripts submitted to Journal of Microbial Health must adhere to the following technical formatting guidelines. Non-compliance may result in the return of the manuscript for correction before peer review.
General Formatting SpecificationÂ
Font Size: Use Times New Roman, 12-Point font throughout the entire document.
Abstract: The manuscript must be single-spaced
Keywords: Set page margins to 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides(Top/Bottom/Right/Left)
References: All body text must be fully justified
Tables: Include continuous page numbering, preferably in the footer (e.g., 1,2,3...) right-aligned.
Figures: Number all figures and tables sequentially in the order they are first cited in the text (e.g., Figure 1. Table 1, Figure 2, Table 2).
Article Types and Specification
The Journal of Engineering Mechanics and Infrastructure welcomes original and high-quality scholarly contributions covering engineering mechanics, infrastructure, structural systems, civil engineering, computational methods, materials, construction, transportation, environmental engineering, and related multidisciplinary fields. Authors should select the article type that best represents their work.
Original Research Articles: Original Research Articles present new findings from experimental, computational, theoretical, analytical, numerical, field-based, or applied engineering research. Manuscripts should include a structured abstract (250–300 words) with the headings Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion, followed by Introduction, Materials and Methods/Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Declarations, and References. The study should have clearly defined objectives, appropriate methodology, valid analysis, and conclusions supported by the presented results.

Review Articles (Narrative Review and Mini Review): Review Articles provide a comprehensive and critical overview of published research on a specific engineering or infrastructure-related topic. They should summarise existing knowledge, discuss recent developments, compare different approaches, identify research gaps, and suggest future directions. Manuscripts should generally include Introduction, Literature Review, Critical Analysis and Discussion, Future Perspectives, Conclusion, Declarations, and References.

Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses: Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses provide a structured and evidence-based synthesis of research addressing a clearly defined engineering question. Where applicable, authors should follow PRISMA 2020 reporting principles. Manuscripts should include Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Limitations, Conclusion, Declarations, and References. Authors should clearly describe the search strategy, eligibility criteria, study selection, data extraction, quality assessment, and statistical methods used for quantitative synthesis or meta-analysis. A completed PRISMA Checklist and Flow Diagram should be submitted as supplementary material where applicable.

Manuscript Submission
All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system, which manages the entire peer review and publication process, from initial submission to final publication. Authors must first register and create an account before submitting their work. Once registered, they can upload manuscripts and supporting documents, track the progress of their submission, receive editorial decisions, and submit revisions when required. Existing users can login access their accounts, and continue the submission process. All submitted manuscripts must be original and unpublished work, and they should not be under review or consideration by any other journal at the same time. The corresponding author is primarily responsible for the manuscript's accuracy and integrity, manages all communication with the journal, and ensures that all listed co-authors meet the required authorship criteria.
